Yellow, Red and Blue "Wings"
Groups training sessions
CLUB NEWSTRAINING

As the club has now grown back to be as big as, if not bigger than it ever was, we've decided to bring back some of the ways we used to manage our training nights in the past. Hopefully with a bit of a new twist, keeping the best bits and getting rid of the not so good bits.
If you were there on 21/11/24 then you'll already have seen part of this in action!
We have split the club into 3 different training 'wings' (keeping the phoenix theme!) for our class lessons and footwork sessions (Yellow, Blue and Red.) The groups will work with a coach for a block of 4 weeks and then things will be moved about... Coaches will swap groups and some people will migrate from wing to wing. Once the group lessons are finished, the rest of the session will be "free fencing" as normal and the usual etiquette of "never refuse a request to fence" without a very good reason still holds.
Yellow wing will always have our newest and youngest fencers while Red and Blue wings will focus on different aspects of learning and development and will be less well defined by age range or experience and there may be more movement between the groups too.
For the run up to Christmas, Chris will work with the Yellow wing, Dylan with Blue wing and Simon with the Red wing.
